Arsenal have opened talks over a move for Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura, according to reports.

Tuttomercatoweb claim that Arsene Wenger is a keen admirer of the Brazilian and the Gunners have already taken the initial steps of making contact over a potential deal.

Lucas Moura is wanted by Arsenal.

Moura is in his fifth season with the French champions having joined in a £38 million deal from Sao Paulo in 2012.

The 24-year-old, whose current contract expires in 2019, was PSG’s star man in the 2-2 draw against Arsenal in the Champions League group stage in November.

In Ligue 1, Moura has scored six goals and registered two assists in 19 appearances so far this term.

Arsenal are also in talks with Borussia Dortmund over a deal for Gedion Zelalem. The Germany-born 19-year-old, who has declared for the United States at international level, was considered to be a future first-team star at Arsenal.

Gedion Zelalem was born in Germany and Dortmund hope to be able to conclude a deal for the 19-year-old, either this transfer window or in the summer.

When Arsène Wenger saw Zelalem play for the first time when the midfielder was 14, he told the boy’s father that he would one day play for Arsenal. That has been proved correct, with Zelalem making his debut for the club two days before his 17th birthday in January 2014.

But he has not made the progress that was hoped for. Zelalem played once for Wenger’s team in the 2014-15 season while he has appeared on two further occasions this time out in the EFL Cup. He spent the whole of last season on loan at Glasgow Rangers.
