Former first lady Mama Ngina Kenyatta on Saturday paid a courtesy call to retired president Daniel Arap Moi in Kabarak, Nakuru county.

The visit comes as President Uhuru Kenyatta’s former party, KANU, shows signs of working with the opposition alliance NASA.

Late last year, Presidnt Uhuru Kenyatta was reported to have called current KANU leader Gideon Moi imploring him not to join the opposition alliance.

Newsday Kenya could not immediately establish whether KANU’s role in the upcoming general elections was part of the agenda discussed by the former president and Mama Ngina.

However, former president Moi noted that the friendship between the two families is growing stronger.
