A gangster fake cop in Kayole was on Wednesday night shot dead by the police.
According to reports, police were on patrol when they noticed a suspicious car which had one occupant on board.
The officers stopped the vehicle. However the occupant disembarked and started firing at the cops as he ran away on foot.
The officers from Kayole were joined by their colleagues from Buruburu. They mounted a joint search operation that ended with the gangster being shot dead.
They recovered a browning pistol that had no serial number. It was loaded with five rounds of ammunition.
They also recovered a fake police certificate, a pair of handcuffs, keys, a pocket phone and two mobile phones.
In the same Kayole area, three suspected gangsters were shot by the police.
The three were among six gangsters who gad broken into the African Brothers pub.
