Kenyan nurses have signed a return to work deal with county representative. The signed deal included talks on a collective bargaining agreement which will commence in January 2017.

This deal comes a day after the nurses’ union was rocked by disagreement after a Sh. 7 billion deal was signed with the government and dramatically rejected thereafter.

However, the doctors’ strike which is in its second week is yet to come to an end. The two strikes have paralyzed health operations across the country, with government hospitals remaining abandoned by the health workers.
