President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday urged Jubilee Party aspirants and supporters to mobilize unregistered voters in their areas.

“At the end of the registration process, we will return here and award aspirants and supporters who record the highest voter registrations in their areas,” said President Uhuru.

The president said this was the only way they will help Jubilee party win the upcoming general elections.

Uhuru said this while addressing a Jubilee delegates conference at Kasarani Gymnasium.

The conference saw the launch of Jubilee Party smart card that contains a unique bar code that will capture the member’s details including name, identity card number and phone numbers. During nominations, the bar code will be scanned to ascertain authenticity of membership and the card.

The conference was attended by the Deputy President, Governors, MPs, Senators, MCAs and aspiring candidates. It comes two days after the opposition held a similar meeting at the Bomas of Kenya during which it reiterated its intention to forge a united opposition.
