Cord leader Raila Odinga yesterday alleged that the ruling Jubilee Party is plotting to assassinate Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho.

Mr. Odinga said this while addressing residents at Isebania Town in Migori County. He added that the government was planning to kill Joho due to his stand against President Uhuru.

Odinga said that the assassination plan was being laid out by people who killed controversial businessman Jacob Juma.

“People who killed businessman Jacob Juma now want to eliminate Mr. Joho because of his political stand… Let the try,” said Mr. Odinga.

Mr. Joho is currently riding a storm with accusations that he camped at a police station last week purporting to have been arrested.

He has been at loggerheads with the government for publicly calling out President Kenyatta.
