Three rape suspects were shot dead in Nairobi on Monday night. The three suspects had dragged a woman to the Nairobi South Cemetary on Bunyala Road intending to rape her.
The lady had been walking towards the CBD from Upper Hill where she works.
They had robbed and stripped her when the police patrolling the area heard her screams. “The lady screamed and there was a lot of commotion. Police on patrol along Bunyala Road went to the bush and found the men has beaten the woman and stripped her naked,” Nairobi County Police Commandant Japhet Koome said.
“The police officers asked them to drop the pistols but they started running away as they shot at the police officers,” he said. He said after the shooting, two pistols and a knife were found.
The woman, who sustained deep cuts in her right wrist and several scratches on her back was taken to the Nairobi Women’s Hospital.
