Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka yesterday punched an aspiring parliamentary candidate over a group of people who had heckled him in front of Cord leader Raila Odinga.

The incident happened yesterday at the Kisii Sports Club. Mr. Onyonka was seen walking towards aspirant Samuel Omwando as they were being served lunch.

He asked him why he had hired goons to heckle him at an earlier public rally. Before Omwando could respond, Mr. Onyonka proceeded to hit him.

The two were separated by  Governor James Ongwae and nominated Senator Janet Ong’era.
