A KTN editor was on Tuesday charged with stealing a vehicle belonging to his colleague.

Mr. Aaron Obudho Ochieng was charged with stealing the Mercedes Benz E200 belonging to Joy Doreen Biira, which was valued at Sh. 2.8 million.

The Mercedes Benz was stolen from the company’s parking lot on Mombasa Road on December 23 last year. The stolen car was recovered in Kisumu on Friday at a car wash with different number plates.

According to the police report, Joy Doreen Biira parked her car at the yard but later realized her keys were missing from her desk. She went to check whether her vehicle was at the parking only to find it missing.

Mr. Ochieng denied the charges and was released on Sh1 million bond or Sh. 300,000 cash bail.
